A social stigma against unemployment encourages the unemployed to re-enter the workforce even if it does not significantly raise their incomes relative to collecting benefits.Which, of course, means they're not helping the economy - they're buying less beer, less, bread, less whatever.
Math is math, and yet we're so sympathetic to huge corporations not doing their job as "noble jobs creators" until we've set the tax rate low enough for their liking...whats the difference? At some point, won't simply feeding everybody cost us less than these tax loopholes etc?
