The Big Bang Theory is a new superslice, and now, WHADDYA KNOW, it becomes the first show ever to beat
American Idol in the all-important 18-49 age group:
For the first time ever, “Big Bang” — or any CBS show, for that matter — drew more viewers in the 18-to-49 category than “American Idol.”
I'm not saying this means that I necessarily singlehandedly run the pop culture universe and have become THE arbiter of taste, I'm just...wait a second...oh yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. Boom!

Yeah, but it's still not even as funny as Cougar Town. CBS is a rancid whole of overpopular, pedestrian programming.
