The Church Has It's Priorities Correct.

Interesting note HERE from Sully re: the Catholic Church's hysterics over what and who people are doing in their bedrooms while not being interested in things that, you know, "Christians" are supposedly all about:

But ask yourself: where were they on a much more fundamental cause for Catholics: universal healthcare? Were they anything like as vocal?

Where were they when the Bush administration was practizing and authorizing the torture and abuse and robbing of human dignity of terror suspects? ... they have said nothing remotely compared with this outcry, and rarely used rhetoric more reminiscent of the Newt Gingrich than, say, Pope John XXIII, as they have in this case?

They have become the Pharisees. And we need Jesus.

As The Prodigal Catholic Kid, I feel confident is saying that Sully just doesn't get it.  Look: Obama is pro-contraception.  Ergo, ex proctor hoc pop 'n loc wiggity-wack jam on it, Jesus and his scrappy, lovable sidekick, Baby Jesus, are anti-contraception.  Get the Muslim out of office, and then the Church can get back to doing their noble deeds.

And how dare he diss Newt - Newt has more years as Catholic on the back of his bubblegum card than even Jesus does!!!!
