The Yankees have started the same infielders (Teixeira, Cano, Jeter, Rodriguez) and outfielders (Gardner, Granderson, Swisher) on Opening Day for the past three consecutive seasons. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it’s the first time a Major League team has done that since the Baltimore Orioles from 1979-81.
