Bin Laden Killing

The ad going around with Obama wondering if Romney would've had the stones to kill Bin Laden has  the oh-so-SHOCKED! GOP feigning indignation over Obama "politicizing" the event. In my mind, it's okay to think calling out Romney was a bit petty, but to claim that Obama can't list his killing one of (if not the) most wanted men in the history of the United States, a man whose killing of 3000 innocent Americans led to at least two decade-longs wars and the near collapse of our financial system, on his "why you should vote for me" resumé is inane - if THAT'S not to be mentioned, what the fuck is? He can't coast on his Jimmy Fallon appearance forever, you know. Whining that something is being "politicized" of course loosely translates to "the other guy is doing it", which both sides do, so there's not a lot the GOP can do about it now other than to dream about how quickly they would've knocked down the Statue of Liberty to replace it with a statue of Dubya, complete with an "DO DEEZ NUTZ!" inscription carved into what would surely look like a Fabio romance novel cover. "Sniff sniff...it would've been beautiful..."  I mean, camon now. Bush didn't even bother to FINISH wars before spiking the football - he is our Leon Lett of presidents.

As a side note, how harsh (and 100% correct) is Sully's McCain zinger:
And one thing about John McCain. He actually said: "And, you know the thing about heroes, they don't brag.” For his entire political career, McCain has done nothing but brag about his own military service, milking every last, disgusting drop for his own interests, making it the center-piece of his campaign. And he didn't kill anyone - just crashed his plane, was tortured, and cracked under tortured interrogation. He has spent decades making this a reason for him to be elected to various offices, from the very first first=person account in US News, which launched his political career. Heroes don't brag, Senator? How else would you describe your entire career?
In McCain's defense, I will say I still feel bad about my pull-ups riff. Uncalled for, Xmastime. Too far!
