I've always loved The Monkees. Hell, I don't know if I've ever heard a Monkees song I didn't like. But even more so, I love watching docs about them and listening to Mike Nesmith in particular act outraged about Don Kirshner being their puppetmaster while delivering money and fame to them. I mean god bless the Monkees, but has anyone ever been given so much for doing so little? And is Nesmith ever gonna show us these "amazing" songs he wrote that he claimed were better than I'm a Believer and Sugar, Sugar for instance?
