Jobs Report

Maybe the whole "the only number important is the number of people who have jobs" thing should be re-thought. Via Matt Yglesias re: the new report claiming Obamacare will cost 2.5 million jobs:

Obamacare will kill jobs in the same way that Social Security kills jobs. By making it easier for people in certain circumstances to get by without a job. But your mileage may vary on this. The point, however, is that we're talking about people quitting not about people getting fired.

If Green Day broke up today, that would be three more people in the "unemployed" column.
