Coupla weeks ago I mentioned The Clissold Arms, aka the local pub located right across from Ray & Dave Davies' house, where The Kinks got there start. This video has a few minutes with Ray himself inside, talking about the pub and how much it means to him on the eve of his knighthood:
I used to live across the road and would hear the drunks coming out at night when I was a little kid, singing all these pub songs, and I'd think, "one day they're gonna be singing one of mine".
