One of my favorite motifs in movies or tv is whenever a guy sees a girl for the first time after she finally had the guts to leave him after years of abuse and upon hearing about her new boyfriend over-protectively asks her, “is he treating you right? You tell me if he’s not treating you good!” OXE*
