Hear Here!

As an American who knows & absolutely loves Only Fools and Horses I feel duty bound to mention this to the rest of you rubes, from a Frasier fan site on Nicholas Lyndhurst joining the Frasier reboot:
I feel that us British folk need to explain what a big deal it is to us that British actor Nicholas Lyndhurst is in the new series of Frasier.
Lyndhurst was the co-lead of a British sitcom called 'Only Fools and Horses'. We can't overstate how big this show was in the UK. We're talking bigger than Cheers, Frasier, Friends and Seinfeld. It's still consistently voted Britain's greatest ever sitcom. Even if you didn't watch the show consistently, you knew the characters, their famous scenes and their catchphrases ("This time next year, we'll be millionaires!"). Even the name 'Rodney' isn't really used anymore in Britain because it's associated so much with Lyndhurst's character, it'd be hard to live with.
The final special episode, where (spoilers) they actually make it and become millionaires after literal years of trying is still remembered here as one of the greatest moments of British television.
To see him again on TV, and in a comedy no less, is a big deal for British people. Fans generally consider the 1996 Christmas Special the last 'true' episode and the one I referred to above, and it is still the 5th most simultaneously watched TV programme ever in Britain (not including sporting or news events). For context, that's one place behind Live Aid - that's how big the show was.
One more week! I can't wait for this! 🕺
