Xmastime Connections

Speaking of The Morning Show, I'm halfway through a 5-hour podcast on The Clash today & I notice Billy Crudup's character drops the phrase "death in the afternoon", which I guess is some sort of saying that people know? I've never heard it in any other context except an album I picked up 30+ years ago by Havana 3am, whose bass player was Paul Simonon....from The Clash!
