I Mean Dafuck Larry David?

Someone has to explain to my why Larry didn't move into a nice hotel after Cheryl left him. He never made any attempt to hide his contempt of any sentiment for any of the many houses he moved to, and in the episode The Car Salesman he says:
I don't know why we had to leave the hotel. I love the hotel. You get the room service, the wake-up calls. You never leave. Naps.
AND the real-life Larry even talked about with with David Letterman.
