In His Own Write

John Lennon's In his Own Write came out 60 years ago today. I've always rolled my eyes at this "book", which was obviously a cash grab by all involved, except that I think it instantly gave lazy shit music critics & journalists the lazy out to quickly assign John as being "the smart one" which I think just made made it easier to later claim John as being some sort of musical avant-garde firebrand while Paul was knitting Grandma songs, which was just 10000% objectively untrue.

But then again hell it gives us an excuse to see Lennon be funny on tv (with Dudley Moore!) so 🤷‍♂️
