Two Thoughts About the Ending of Friday Night Lights

Can we all stop pretending that Mrs. Coach making Coach Taylor pull up stakes and move to Philly wasn't the most fucked up thing in tv history? Yes, under normal marriage circumstances it's perfectly normal to do a "wow, now YOU have the opportunity of a lifetime so I'll take a back seat" but THE ENTIRE PREMISE OF THE SHOW is based around the unique stature that a high school football coach in Texas has, PARTICULARLY ONE WHO IS GOING TO HIS 3RD STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IN 5 YEARS!!!! But the show takes us through some scenario during which schools for some reason AREN'T throwing hookers with sacks of cash in their teeth through Coach taylor's window, all so Mrs. Coach can do the fastest career ascension since Benson Dubois?

I don't think I noticed my first few times watching the show what a real asshole Luke Cafferty was.
