A Few Random Quick Notes on the CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM Finale

Obviously I'm an emotional wreck and this isn't some big defining wrap-up, but:
I really like the pre-trial stuff, it popped really good (Larry quickly squealing on Jeff on the plane was a legit LOL)

The scene with Larry trying to get away from the kid being taught a lesson was gold. Gold, Larry, gold!

So Auntie Rae, a sassy old black woman from New Orleans, opens a restaurant in Atlanta and the only food we get to hear about are her "amazing!" salads? Really? Dafuck?

I understand he's been lurking for 25 years to provide payback for everybody bitching about the Seinfeld finale, and I assumed there'd be some dovetailing on that point but I was truly shocked at how much he leaned into it, with the clips/bringing some people back construct

Even more surprising, other than Auntie Rae the entire court stuff was pretty boring (tho Greg Kinnear was good;  I bet it's tough trying to play a Southern lawyer in a comedy without breaking into Foghorn Leghorn)

I don't know what the point of the whole fly thing in court was about and I don't really care?

So...what exactly was the point of all the Allison Janney driving stuff?

Why didn't the whole "Leon finally watches Seinfeld" thing have a real payoff?

I like what I thought was the ending, Larry repeating the first line of the series just like they did in Seinfeld

And I really really liked it when Jerry showed up at the end to spring him from jail. "Okay," I was thinking, "a lot of the courtroom shit et al was a waste of time but this is a great way to stick the landing, just Larry & Jerry walking off into the sunset together

BUT THEN THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO THAT - they had a tack-on scene after the Jerry one. AND YOU KNOW HOW I'VE BEEN PISSED OFF ABOUT THAT BEFORE!!!

I love how all of the elements from the Seinfeld were there. Down to the gun Susan's parents buy, this time bought by Richard's girlfriend. I thought it was a nice touch having Richard tell him it wasn't a joke.
