I really don’t know why these university presidents even come in to entertain this shit which is obviously political theater bullshit performed by people who matriculated at Ivy League colleges now convincing stupid people that Ivy League colleges are un-American or stupid or of course made up of elites - excepting themselves, of course, who see through these evil elites since they’re plain & simple hard-workin' 'merican folks like the ones they’re so easily duping; if I’m the president of Harvard I just say “you’re more than welcome to not send your kid to Harvard” and fucking bounce. - XMASTIME back in December
FINALLY Harvard catches up to my brilliant genius and is finally asking the same thing:
Harvard said on Tuesday that it would now avoid taking positions on matters that are not “relevant to the core function of the university,” accepting the recommendations of a faculty committee that urged the university to dramatically reduce its messages on issues of the day.
If put into practice, Harvard would no longer issue official statements of empathy, which it did for Ukraine, after the Russian invasion, and for the victims of the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks in Israel, for example.
