So finally, after almost 20 years on this goddam blog trying to help you people, somebody gets it right and has agreed with me:
Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris both want to end taxes on tips — and some policy experts have already criticized the idea.See? Even while acknowledging it was "Trump's idea" the writer lumps it in as if he & Kamala had the same idea, so now the issue is totally negated and therein off the table for November. Unless of course this happens:
Harris expressed support for tax-free tips at a rally on Saturday in Las Vegas. Her comments come roughly two months after Trump shared a similar idea, also at a rally in the service economy hotbed.
Besides, of course the second a minor celebrity casually mentions he's against the plan Trump will flip-flop on it anyway.
which of course it being Trump means it 100% absolutely will and THEN Kamala will own it.
Of course I *have a feeling* that when I talk about no tax on tips I'm talking about lower income workers on their feet 14 hours a day serving people & Trump is probably talking about him selling a yacht for a dollar & being "tipped" by the seller $50M, but it's all baby steps here at America dot com, so.
