While producing The Ramones' fifth album End of the Century Phil Spector was effusive in his praise that Joey Ramone was his new Ronnie Spector and I believe he was 100% right, to the point that it's interesting to wonder what if he'd convinced Joey to go solo & they became the Brady/Belichick of music with the magical alchemy of both of their songwriting, Joey's angelic voice and Spector's relentless Wall of Sound? 🤔🤷♂️
