Rankled.

This morning I saw more than a few headlines in the paper like this one; a tone of "geeeeeeeeee, I dunno, scary stuff..." etc. I know I'm being overly sensitive to this stuff, but I couldn't discern whether the idea behind such headlines was one of worry re: turning over top-secret stuff to someone who's not "one of us," or that Obama's a little girl who would run out of the room shrieking once he learned the world isn't ruled by rainbows and puppies (who love rainbows.) Rankled me. Maybe cause eight years ago there was an incoming president whose reason d'etre seemed to be trying to hang out in the dugout with baseball players, and yet I don't remember all the drama about national secrets being revealed to him. Interesting.
