The other day I was in line at the pharmacy to pick up my toe fungal medicine special-ordered, abnormally large Magnum condoms, and in front of me was an old lady whose meds came out to over $400, which she could not in any way even remotely afford. The panicked phone calls back and forth with her carrier were heartbreaking to watch. She left empty-handed.

If she was in any other developed country in the world, her meds would have been covered.
