I'm watching a show right now on the History Channel that walks you through how trash is processed. I'm looking at how they automatically separate shit in to "streams"
(ie glass/paper/aluminum etc) and it's seemingly so efficient it barely makes sense. Only 7% of the trash ends up at a landfill, unable to be re-used. All the streams end up pristinely grouped together and baled. All by automation. Amazing.
