Besides being the day we lit the fires and kicked the tires to launch the Civil War as well as Yuri Garagin becoming the first man in outer space, 30 years ago today the first space shuttle launched, as I mentioned HERE.

Pretty cool.  Also, two of my favorite dads in history were born on this date: Al Bundy and Jack Arnold!  :)
