I'd always considered
Hysterical Blindness to be a female version of Road House, never being able to go more than a few minutes without guffawing at the implausibility of anything said or done. Upon viewing it the other night for the first time in years, I must say, while Uma's cringe-inducing patheticness was great, Juliette Lewis should've won an award for her performance; every single line of look or movement from her was perfect. Granted, she seems to have been playing herself, but still, pretty amazing. And to compare the movie itself to
Road House is insulting, and I apologize.
