Chicks, Babe!

Alyssa Rosenberg shreds Adam Carolla HERE for his "women aren't funny" stance. On one level I agree with him, although I certainly hope that while maintaining women in general aren't as funny as men, I'm not as much of a douchebag as he sounds. I don't see this as some sort of malfunction on women's part, just the evolution of expectations set upon them based on the hotness-to-funny ratio that I believe still holds true. Mostly, Carolla is an idiot because Roseanne IS funny, and that's why we know she exists - unlike, say, Sarah Silverman, she had to actually be funny for us to really give her a chance.
