On this day in 1973, the pilot for Open All Hours debuted:

Open All Hours', the first episode of Seven of One, was originally broadcast on this day in 1973. This anthology series would spawn two Ronnie Barker sitcoms (Open All Hours, Porridge) with a third (My Old Man) appearing on ITV with Clive Dunn starring.
