1) he's legit funny, anytime you run into an old interview with him give it a minute, he’ll say something funny
2) unlike every other artist who's ever lived, he had the self-awareness in the early 90s to stop writing new songs, accepting that the window had closed and there was no need to assault his fans as if otherwise
3) he never misses a chance to bitch about how his first album was screwed up at the mastering plant & was sped up or something, I dunno, I couldn't care less about the album but I love watching him bitch about it

So I've enjoyed watching it so far in spite of the meh music and the meh backstory (what "struggle"? by 19 he seemed to have already had about 4 record contracts? 🤔🤷♂️)
BUT
the main reason to even be thinking about Billy Joel now is that it reminds us to take a walk back down memory lane with Mike & the Mad Dog, during which Mike muses whether or not Joel could fill Kemper Arena. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
