Here's One for the Inevitable HAPPY SCENE Museum, People

On June 25, 1998 Chris Standish and I practiced as The Happy Scene for the first time ever; he'd go from answering my $34 in 1998 scrillah ad in the Village Voice for a drummer ("Drummer wanted. Ramones, Replacements, Modern Lovers. Beginners welcome") to being my musical consigliere for the remainder of my years in Brooklyn.

And somehow after all these years I've just now discovered the very address book I had when we first met after he'd called me from that legendary Voice ad.

Life is nuts, and sometimes in a great way. 🥁🎸🤗🤣🕺

ALSO: the guy who tried out to play bass that June night is the Aaron you see on that same page, and who I shitted on (sorry not sorry, I don't say "shat") just a bit here. 😬
