Nobody spends a lot of time talking about Michael Scott progressing as a human being during the run of
The Office,
but in the season two episode
E-Mail Surveillance, Michael's improv class obviously hates
him and goes out of their way to make up an excuse for him to not join
them afterwards for a beer. Meanwhile, two years later while selling
diet pills for Nick Figaro in
Money he has an entire group in the palm of his
hand while talking about movies and they implore him to come with them
for a drink afterwards, which he has to decline because of crazy Jan.
Nice job, Michael Scott!
