Hmmmmmm...

As a Yankees fan I've been pretty anxious about them finishing with a losing record for the first time in 31 years; with four games left to win one I feel pretty confidant they can do it.

But unless the kind folks over at Baseball-Reference are lying to me, and why would they, the last time the Yankees finished exactly at .500 was 1911. 1911! 112 years ago! Joe Biden was barely a widower! I mean I don't want my beloved Yankees to lose the next 4 games and break their winning season streak, BUUUUUUUUT....wouldn't the .500 be a bit more unique/newsworthy? 🤔🤷‍♂️
