It seems like about once a week now a member of the GOP says or does something so ass-bafflingly inane that it causes one to think “okay, there’s no way in hell this dude’s getting re-elected,” a thought of course immediately followed by “unless the Democrat running against him manages to bungle this golden opportunity," which is immediately followed by “well, even then his constituents would hafta to be even dumber than he is," to which you'd then think "I mean, I hope he's not from a state which fetishizes stupidity, like, for instance, oh, I dunno, Texas," and then you realize
"oh, shit."
