It's a shame Sotomayor can't put on a cowboy hat and a drawl and clear some brush so we all think she's some sort of white, non-elitist Everyman we'd like to have a beer with; then we wouldn't hafta hear things about "identity politics," since obviously now she's going to break the record for being Latina while desperately shoving it down our throats. I'm pretty sure she'll fall asleep on the bench with some ox-tail in the corners of her mouth while a mariachi band plays at 300 decibels next to her.
