No Drinking in April

March being one month-long bender, I am going all of April without drinking. No beer, no vodka, no shoe polish. Zero. 30 days, lessee if I can do it.

Odds? Zero. I would not bet a nickel on me getting through the week. And even if I did, making it thru softball Sunday would mean get a shotgun and some hot dog buns, cause pigs are flying. For chrissake,I'm announcing this on April Fool's Day to give myself an out. But I will try. Interested to see how 30 days dry feels, and it can only help my diet I would think. Ugh. Whoever the Patron Saint of Mad Dog 20/20 is, say a prayer for the big fellah.

mamalizza said...: not to be a negative nelly, but i always gained weight when i quit drinking because i thought i deserved extra treats. hey, i didn't get drunk today- i deserve a pizza with extra cheese and cheese fries!; 2:21 PM
