Unlike The Rambler, I am not bent out of shape about Bruce playing the Super Bowl. While no one has turned down more chances to sell out than Bruce via commercials et al, let's be honest - it's not like Bruce has been living in a shack for 35 years giving away his music for free. But I don't see the Super Bowl thing as a way for Bruce to sell more records to a new demographic, I simply think he's like "hey, I'm old, how much longer could I do this, why not have some fun?"
HOWEVER.
I am concerned re: WHAT Bruce plays - while I do not need a 35-minute version of Devils & Dust, if he does some hokey, goofy flag-waving Glory Days nonsense I will be embarrassed. Grr.

Worse yet would be a big Born in the USA fist puncing the air finale. Too bad, because that song works well in these bad economic times. Unfortunately, it seems most people only hear the chorus.
