Happy Birfday Macca!

Paul McCartney turns 79 today; what the hell can you say about the single greatest living legend that hasn't been said a thousand times already? I've blathered about him in a million posts over the years - including the incredible day exactly 56 years ago when he recorded the classics of classics Yesterday, the  Little Richardesque raver I'm Down, and he ALSO practically invented folk rock with I've Just Seen a Face - quite a fucking day. But now as he's facing 80,  I can't help but think there's going to be a day when he dies and there's going to be millions of people around the globe gathering together and spontaneously singing the ending to Hey Jude for hours on end, and what a moment that will be.
