"Be Like Mike"? Oh No Thank You.

I've always loved the Be Like Mike song; when you peel away its corny-but-great message and it was made-for-marketing 101 it's actually a really great song in & of itself, so how great would it be to discover that - like the Star-Spangled Banner or so many Christmas carols out there - there's more than one verse, with each one devolving into some darker fucked-up shit? Starts out with "I wanna be like Mike" and then it spirals down through "Mike owes some bad guys a lot of money" all the way to "Mike always offers me free ice cream & Gatorade in his white van in the woods"? 🤔🤣🤣🤣
