Garfield (the Other One) du Jour

Where the fuck is this movie? - XMASTIME, 2009

After 15 years it looks like they're finally making a movie about President Garfield: 

Matthew Macfadyen and Michael Shannon are set to star in a Netflix series that will examine the rise and eventual assassination of US President James Garfield, Variety has learned. The series is titled “Death by Lightning” and is based on the book “Destiny Of The Republic” by Candice Millard. The official logline states, “‘Death by Lightning’ is a drama series that brings to life the epic and stranger-than-fiction true story of James Garfield (Shannon), reluctant 20th president of the United States, and his greatest admirer Charles Guiteau (Macfadyen) — the man who would come to kill him.”

...which means it’s also about Charles Guiteau ie. my favorite presidential assassin of all time!! If they don’t make this a comedy then I am really done with Hollywood.
