Good Light Pollution*, for Once

I've never really known much about or cared much about photography unless it can capture something funny but tonight when I got off the Metro I was struck by this (are these lights new, or have I been walking by them for years w/o noticing their purple hue?) & felt compelled to take a snappity-snap or two.
