At some point decades ago I thought I’d come up with the “_________, which is illegal in 19 states...” comedy trope and then over the years realized it was just one of those jokes everybody seems to have come up with at the same time and it enjoyed a few decades of welcomed ubiquity; now however I feel like we all need to come together once again & agree that for whatever reason which will probably remain a mystery the joke is so cringe-inducing now you can smell it coming a mile away long enough for a pre-cringe, if not a pre-pre-cringe.
