Sometimes I wonder if Republicans are truly terrible or if there’s just a lot of people who think politics is like watching a movie and doesn’t actually affect people (least of all themselves of course). 🤔🤷 - XMASTIME
Of course Democrats are all trying to out-hairshirt each other over the election by pinpointing any small political reason they can find but I have a nagging suspicion that at least a small chunk of the reason Trump won again is because people think they're watching a movie and they're not done watching that movie and really, really wanna see how it plays out; they have no concept of real world consequences or just don’t care about them as much as they care about seeing the big finale to the movie, one way or the other.
There's also a connection in there that my spidey senses are tingling about; that the job we think we're electing is for "president" but we seem to think the job is "running for president", and I think that's a big problem. 🤔🤷♂️
