Why is it a given that even tho the government is shut down, air traffic controllers will of course be expected to continue working even if without pay? Somehow paying people their SNAP benefits isn't covered by this tacit agreement, but we've all somehow agreed that air travel is a human right that transcends outside forces to the point of people should be expected to do it without payment? “Inconveniencing a lot of white businessmen” somehow is too much to REALLY expect from us as a nation?
